Blazers Built for the Water

Chapter I

The New York Yacht Club

Founded in 1844, the New York Yacht Club is the oldest yacht club in the world. Its members have included titans of industry, heads of state, and generations of sailors who understand that tradition is not about nostalgia. It is about standards. When the NYYC approached Ferrara to produce its official club blazer, the answer was immediate. The result is a naval double-breasted blazer cut from the same obsession that defines everything we make. Six-button front. Natural shoulder. Club buttons bearing the NYYC burgee. Constructed in our Long Island City workshop by the same hands that have been making tailored clothing for four decades.

Chapter II

A Blazer Engineered for the Elements for the Rolex Regatta Cup

When the Rolex Regatta Cup needed a blazer that could withstand the elements without sacrificing elegance, they came to Ferrara. The challenge: engineer a garment that performs on the water and presents flawlessly on shore.

We developed a waterproof blazer that maintains the structure and drape of traditional tailoring while repelling wind and spray. The fabric is treated with Helly Hansen's waterproofing treatment to withstand the elements on a sailing expedition, or to quote one of the members, a post regatta spill at the bar.

Tradition on the water. Precision in the workshop.

An iconic blazer crafted in New York by the same hands that have defined American tailoring for four decades.
